Announcement: Presentations by Heritopolis Society Professors at the Asia-Pacific World Heritage Cities Organization International Conference

Dear esteemed members,

We are pleased to inform you about the recent contributions of our distinguished professors from the Heritopolis Society at the Asia-Pacific World Heritage Cities Organization International Conference. This event was held in Gyeongju, South Korea, from October 11th to 12th.

The conference's themes spanned over two days, with the first day focusing on "Empowering World Heritage Cities through the Utilization of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage in the 21st Century" and the second day diving into the "Ancient Silk Road Route and World Heritage Cities."

While the event was not streamed online, we are now sharing the highlights of our professors' noteworthy presentations:

Professor David Simon delivered a keynote on "Appropriate Multi-level Governance for Sustainable and Resilient World Heritage Cities."
Professor Michael Turner elaborated on the "Urban and Architectural Exchanges of the Silk Roads."
Professor Wiendu NURYANTI discussed "The Role of Tourism within the Opportunities and Challenges of World Heritage Cities."
Dr. Xingyu MU of WHITR-AP (Shanghai) presented on "The Combination of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage in Chinese Historic Cities."
We also take pride in noting that Professor Jae Heon, Choi, undertook the essential role of chairing the overall discussions at this esteemed academic event.
